Backend Engineer/40K/Fintech Start-up

Our client is a rising Fintech company looking for a new Backend Engineer with banking environment experience. Responsibilities

  • Engineers working on our core backend technology assist in developing and integrating our platforms for financial services clients.
  • Liaise with our clients' tech teams to test and improve integrations.
  • Create new features for our business-to-business platforms, such as working on our proprietary transaction enrichment technologies and financial insights orchestration engine.
  • Develop new open-source and closed-source orchestration engine integrations to enable various connectivities.
  • Ensure that well-tested, robust code is delivered. We focus heavily on writing code with well-tested error paths to maintain robustness in our fintech work.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience with Java, 2 years of experience with JPA, and over 2 years of experience with Spring Boot.
  • At least 1 year of experience writing efficient and robust integrations using APIs or RPC in Java.
  • A candidate with over 1 year of experience writing efficient and robust integrations using APIs or RPC in Java would be a plus.
  • Experience in Spring Security, Apache Camel, Camunda or similar framework for orchestration, Apache Kafka or other queuing and pub/sub frameworks, and jOOQ for dynamic SQL in Java.
  • Fluency in English and Cantonese/Mandarin
