My Client is a fast pace retail business that has stores across the Middle East within fashion and home furniture. With new stores for both being established across the Middle East they are on the look out for a Supply Chain and Merchandiser director to be part of the team.
Effectively the role will oversee and manage supply chain and merchandising functions, driving availability, whilst in control of cashflow and store availability. To drive efficiency savings within the supply chain and drive out costs from supply pipeline.
Responsible for identifying supply chain improvement opportunities in line with the Supply Chain and Business Strategy; and to define and mobilize projects to realise benefits
Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain Planning
· Plan inventory and capacity levels for the stores and warehouses
· Own store replenishment and stock levels within stock budget constraints
· Implement and maintain Weekly Sales and Stock Intake monitor
Direct Sourcing Planning
· Create strategy and supply chain for vendor pipeline deliveries
· Implement supplier delivery consolidation using 3PL for most efficient delivery costs
· Vendor improvement program management
· Manage OTB for inbound products
Network Planning and Optimization
· Manage resources of the business to effectively deliver the supply chain
· Own 3Pl management and ensure warehouses are effectively managed space
Distribution Centre and 3Pl management
· Ensure customer deliveries are maximized whilst maintaining high customer satisfaction
Transport Management
· Own management of Aura and 3Pl used fleet
· Ensure maintenance and delivery fleet is optimize
Stock and replenishment for store and DC's
· Drive business sales by achieving highest level of availability in stores and DC's whilst controlling working capital
· Chair cross functional weekly trading meetings
Costs
· Manage inbound costing factors process and drive savings
· Ensure 3PL cost management is effective for resources supplied
