About the client
Our client (a tech company) is looking for a well-spoken Legal Counsel (Privacy) to lend a helping hand in the APAC business, contributing to the strategy of the organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-starter who can add value to the business.
About the role
- Advise the different business units on a range of Privacy and Technology matters
- Create policies and best practices to limit privacy risks
- Structure, negotiate and close data protection agreements
- Ensure that the business is in line with best practices with PDPA and other data privacy laws
- Come up with training and development programs on data privacy to the different business units
- Other ad-hoc duties as assigned
About you
- 6-10 years of PQE (Common law qualified) Lawyer experience is desired
- Similar in-house (Preferably in Tech MNCs) experience would be ideal to excel in this role
- Experience working in Technology, Digital, Information security teams is a plus
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations is desired
- The incumbent should be hungry to learn and passionate about the technology sector
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment and is a self-starter
- Language skills - Mandarin /Korean would be a bonus
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with different stakeholders and the ability to meet business deadlines
- Willingness to travel overseas for work
