Develop and implement logistics strategies:
- Collaborate with senior management to establish logistics objectives aligned with company goals and customer requirements.
- Formulate and execute innovative strategies to optimize transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
- Continuously evaluate and improve logistics processes to maximize efficiency, minimize costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
Manage transportation and distribution:
- Coordinate and oversee inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring on-time delivery while minimizing freight expenses.
- Establish and maintain relationships with carriers, negotiating favorable contracts and rates.
- Monitor and analyze transportation costs, recommending cost-saving initiatives without compromising service quality.
Inventory management:
- Develop and implement inventory control systems to optimize stock levels, minimize excess inventory, and prevent shortages.
- Collaborate with various departments to accurately forecast demand and plan for seasonal fluctuations or promotions.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and continuously improve accuracy in stock management.
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements:
- Stay updated on international and domestic transportation regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements.
- Ensure adherence to industry-specific regulations, best practices, and quality standards.
- Implement and maintain safety standards and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders:
- Collaborate with purchasing, sales, and customer service teams to ensure seamless integration of logistics activities.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to resolve any logistics-related issues and meet customer expectations.
- Provide timely and accurate reports on logistics performance, key performance indicators (KPIs), and cost-saving opportunities.
