Purchasing Manager - Packaging

Location: Bangkok

Job Summary:

The Purchasing Manager - Packaging is responsible for managing the procurement of packaging materials for the organization. This includes overseeing the purchase and negotiating with vendors. The Purchasing Manager - Packaging must ensure that the packaging materials meet the company's quality standards and are delivered on time and within budget.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies for purchasing packaging materials in line with the company's goals and objectives
  • Research and identify potential suppliers of packaging materials, and negotiate favorable terms and pricing with vendors
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their packaging needs and requirements, and develop specifications accordingly
  • Manage supplier relationships and performance, and resolve any issues that arise
  • Analyze purchasing data and trends, and use this information to make informed purchasing decisions and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Develop and maintain reports on purchasing activity, supplier performance, and inventory levels, and present this information to senior management as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 6+ years of experience in purchasing, preferably in the FMCG Manufacturing industry
  • Strong negotiation skills, with experience in vendor management and contract negotiation
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Good command in English
