QA Engineer/50k/ Global Broker

Responsibilities

  • Check that all requirements have been documented.
  • Verify that adequate testing has been performed and results have been recorded.
  • Engage programming teams and delivery contributors to clarify questions or identify deficiencies.
  • Where appropriate/necessary, conduct and document first-hand testing.
  • Create bugs or enhancement suggestions to address functional issues and ensure a smooth and satisfying client experience.
  • Keep a complete record of all relevant releases and testing.
  • Contribute to the successful completion of the teams' projects by:
  • Participating actively in solution design/validation discussions to identify scenarios that should be considered
  • Preserving existing workflows to aid in requirement gathering and wireframing
  • Identifying known releases that perform desired functions and could be used to support a project's solution.
  • Creating test plans to help with deliveries
  • Configuring test accounts, systems, and scenarios to support test plans and enlisting the assistance of programming teams as needed.
  • Executing CI, QA, alpha PROD, or PROD tests on project team deliverables
  • Raising any bugs discovered and following up with delivery managers and programming teams to ensure that the bugs are prioritized and addressed.
  • Blockers that are preventing testing or causing delays should be escalated.
  • Manage the tools and processes needed to support the team's testing function:
  • Ensure that the testing queue is completed on time and prioritized regularly.
  • Identify and gain access to environments, systems, or configurations required to complete the queued testing.
  • Create and manage a library of test accounts needed for regional testing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a closely related field
  • 2+ years of experience in brokerage and/or financial services preferred. Proven experience in software QA and user acceptance testing
  • Programming skills and database experience would be advantageous.
  • Strong English verbal and written communication skills, as well as the confidence to engage colleagues across the organization
  • Detail-oriented, organizational skills, follow-through, and results-oriented
