Overview:

As the Vice President of Software Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in driving the strategy and technical direction to design and build a groundbreaking multifaced mobile app and digital platform context for B2C consumer services and marketplace within our organization. We are seeking a visionary leader with a strong technical software engineering background and a proven track record in building scalable tech platforms. In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, mentor and manage engineering talent, and shape the technology roadmap that will shape the future of our company.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a clear and innovative technical strategy to establish our digital platform in the B2C consumer services and marketplace landscape.
  2. Technical Vision: Define the technical vision and architecture for the platform, ensuring it aligns with business goals and industry best practices.
  3. Team Management: Lead and manage a high-performing team of software engineers, architects, and technical leaders, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  4. Technical Roadmap: Create and maintain a robust technology roadmap, including identifying and evaluating emerging technologies and trends relevant to our platform.
  5. Collaboration: Collaborate closely with product management, design, and other cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between technical developments and customer needs.
  6. Scalable Tech Platforms: Leverage your expertise to build scalable and reliable technology platforms that can handle high volumes of traffic and transactions.
  7. Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce best practices for software development, including code quality, testing, and security.
  8. Resource Allocation: Effectively allocate resources and budgets to ensure the successful execution of projects and initiatives.
  9. Mentorship and Development: Provide guidance, mentorship, and coaching to team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
  10. Vendor and Partner Management: Collaborate with external partners, vendors, and third-party technology providers as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field. MBA or equivalent business experience is a plus.
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in software engineering, with a strong emphasis on building and scaling tech platforms.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering large-scale software projects.
  • In-depth technical knowledge of modern software development methodologies, tools, and frameworks.
  • Experience with B2C consumer services and marketplace platforms is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing, diverse teams.
