Overview:

As the Vice President of Software Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in driving the strategy and technical direction to design and build a groundbreaking multifaced mobile app and digital platform context for B2C consumer services and marketplace within our organization. We are seeking a visionary leader with a strong technical software engineering background and a proven track record in building scalable tech platforms. In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, mentor and manage engineering talent, and shape the technology roadmap that will shape the future of our company.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a clear and innovative technical strategy to establish our digital platform in the B2C consumer services and marketplace landscape.
Technical Vision: Define the technical vision and architecture for the platform, ensuring it aligns with business goals and industry best practices.
Team Management: Lead and manage a high-performing team of software engineers, architects, and technical leaders, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
Technical Roadmap: Create and maintain a robust technology roadmap, including identifying and evaluating emerging technologies and trends relevant to our platform.
Collaboration: Collaborate closely with product management, design, and other cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between technical developments and customer needs.
Scalable Tech Platforms: Leverage your expertise to build scalable and reliable technology platforms that can handle high volumes of traffic and transactions.
Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce best practices for software development, including code quality, testing, and security.
Resource Allocation: Effectively allocate resources and budgets to ensure the successful execution of projects and initiatives.
Mentorship and Development: Provide guidance, mentorship, and coaching to team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
Vendor and Partner Management: Collaborate with external partners, vendors, and third-party technology providers as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field. MBA or equivalent business experience is a plus.
A minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in software engineering, with a strong emphasis on building and scaling tech platforms.
Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering large-scale software projects.
In-depth technical knowledge of modern software development methodologies, tools, and frameworks.
Experience with B2C consumer services and marketplace platforms is highly desirable.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
