Job Description

A rapidly financial services is looking for Head of Quality Assurance based in Bangkok, Thailand. This role will responsible for manage group of testing resources spread across the IT business support functions.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Establishes quality and reliability standards by studying user, business and customer requirements with other members of business management, development and integration partners / vendor technicians and engineers
  • Establishes standards by studying business, engineering and integration requirements; conferring and negotiating with suppliers; devising testing methods and procedures
  • Establishes in-process inspection standards by studying development, integration and service / support methods; devising testing methods and procedures
  • Establishes standards for the disposition of finished IT output by devising evaluation tests, methods, and procedures in liaison with test teams and business stakeholders
  • Establishes rework standards by devising inspection and physical testing methods and procedures
  • Establishes product quality documentation system and Quality Assurance Knowledge Base by writing and updating quality assurance procedures and guidelines
  • Maintains quality by enforcing IT quality assurance policies and procedures and regulatory requirements; collaborating with other members of IT management to develop new IT and engineering designs, development and integration and training methods
  • Recommends acquisition and use of quality assurance test tools as required
  • Prepares IT quality reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends on test results and defect occurrence
  • Liaises with IT management colleagues on quality assurance operational requirements
  • Provides consulting advice to IT application and operations management / teams for recruitment, selection, orientation, mentoring and training quality assurance / tester resources
  • Supports quality assurance / tester staff job results by mentoring / coaching staff and assisting in monitoring, and appraising job results
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
  • Achieves financial objectives by contributing input to preparing quality assurance related budgets; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions
  • Assist and support IT application and operations management in issue resolution on solution delivery quality assurance matters
  • Work with Business Process Development on IT quality assurance touch points and common interests
  • Participate in steering committee, sponsor-level and project-level meetings

Key Qualifications :

  • Degree in IT or Business Administration or related field. Formal quality management qualifications an advantage
  • Proven work experience as a manager of quality assurance for IT project / solution delivery for a large financial services operation
  • 8+ years leadership experience as a Quality Assurance professional
  • Solid organizational, planning, time management and multi-tasking skills
  • Experience in overseeing training and development initiatives
  • Strong client-facing and teamwork skills
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Experience in working for a large IT organization with high volume demands of IT and ability to manage and co-ordinate at line and matrix-level reporting lines
