Job Description

Our client is a leading global distributor, reporting to the Manging Director, Greater China, this role will oversee a team of 30 including Sales, Key Account Management, Field Sales, Trade Marketing and Merchandising to drive sales, profitability and in-store execution. A key aspect of this role will be to ensure aligned strategies and processes with internal functions to achieve overall objectives and manage operating departmental budgets and costs

Responsibilities:

* Formulate holistic key account processes and strategies for modern trade channels (global accounts and local accounts) to ensure achievement of overall objectives

* Allocate customer accounts to teams. Establish budgets, key performance indicators and tracking mechanisms to support the achievement of team key performance indicators

* Anticipate future direction and needs of customers in order to proactively recommend business solutions to meet customers' long term business needs

* Drive annual negotiations with key customers, including trading terms and conditions, to facilitate sales agreements and achieve targeted margins

* Oversee the planning and execution to maximize potential return on total customer investments

* Drive post-evaluation of key promotions and communicate results to the commercial teams. Leverage on promotional evaluations to refine customer tactics

* Ensure integrity, accuracy and timeliness of performance data/reports to facilitate strategic decisions

* Build long-term strategic relationships with key customers. Facilitate frequent top-to-top contact between customers and company senior management to ensure strategic alignment

* Set direction and cascade team/function goals to ensure goals are well-defined and clearly communicated

Requirements:

* Proven track record of leading different functional teams in FMCG industry

* Strong knowledge and network in FMCG industry

* High proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese

* At least 10 years of relevant experience in FMCG industry and at least 5 years in managerial level

* Key account/Open trade/Food Services experience are definitely preferable

* University graduate in Business, Marketing, or equivalent
