Commercial Finance Director

We’re seeking a high-calibre Commercial Finance Director to join the senior leadership team of a market-leading FMCG business. This is a pivotal role where you will act as the key business partner to the General Manager and Sales & Marketing teams , helping shape the commercial direction of the Thailand business.

In this role, you will lead all core financial processes including strategic planning, forecasting, performance analysis, and risk management—supported by a shared service finance team overseas. You will also oversee a lean and capable team of six, driving value through insight, collaboration, and robust financial control.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a trusted advisor to the General Manager and senior commercial leaders. Translate financial insights into action to influence growth, pricing, portfolio decisions, and market strategy.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning. Provide clear analysis to support agile decision-making across functions.
• Support Sales & Marketing with P&L ownership, trade spend evaluation, and promotional ROI, identifying opportunities for margin improvement and investment optimization.
• Oversee timely and accurate financial reporting, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards. Use shared services support to deliver high-quality results.
• Identify cost efficiencies and manage financial risks. Drive a culture of control, performance accountability, and continuous improvement..

About You:

• Degree-qualified in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; professional qualifications (CPA, ACA, CFA, or equivalent) preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in a trier one FMCG or consumer goods company.
• Proven experience in partnering with commercial teams and influencing executive-level decisions.
• Strong business acumen, analytical thinking, and decision-making capability.
• Effective communicator with a collaborative mindset and the confidence to challenge and influence.
• Ambitious, driven, and ready for senior leadership.
• Open to expatriate if strong experience in Thai market
