Our client, a leading organisation in the financial services industry, is looking for a Data Mesh Onboarding Lead – Asia to support the roll-out of their Data Mesh platform across the region. This 6-month contract role will focus on onboarding business units, ensuring data governance, and enabling secure, efficient use of data across global teams.
Key Responsibilities

Partner with business stakeholders, IT, and architecture teams to onboard new business units (“tenants”) onto the Data Mesh platform.

Guide teams through onboarding, governance, and compliance processes.
-
Conduct business analysis: requirements gathering, workflows, process maps, and documentation.
-
Perform data analysis to validate logic, ensure data quality, and identify trends.
-
Support the Product Manager with platform governance, roadmap, and reporting.
-
Assist teams in creating data dictionaries, business procedures, and governance documents.
-
Communicate effectively with regional/global stakeholders, raising risks, issues, and progress transparently.

Recommend improvements to enhance platform adoption, efficiency, and compliance.
Requirements
-
Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related discipline.
-
Proven experience as a Business Analyst / Data Analyst in large-scale projects.
-
Strong knowledge of data governance, data analysis, and platform adoption.
-
Experience in Asset Management, Custody, or Fund Services industries is desirable.
-
Skilled in SQL, Excel, and diagram/modelling tools (e.g., Visio).
-
Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and presentation skills.
-
Comfortable running workshops and managing cross-country teams.
-
Knowledge of Python and Google Cloud tools is a plus.
