A leading international market expansion services provider in the Scientific Instruments/Equipment or Medical Devices is seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented leader to serve as the Head of Service for its Scientific/Specific Solutions business unit in Thailand. This role is a critical strategic position tasked with leading the end-to-end transformation and modernization of the entire service organization to significantly improve market reputation, customer excellence, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate must be an agent of change, capable of managing a large, complex organization and driving commercial growth for the service function.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the comprehensive transformation and modernization of the Service business model, operations, and processes to enhance its competitiveness and dramatically improve market reputation and customer perception.
- Assume full P&L responsibility for the Service Business unit, which is viewed as a critical revenue generator.
- Manage the Spare Parts inventory and commercial aspects, ensuring a balance between adequate stock levels for fast customer service and minimizing cost/risk of obsolete/expired inventory.
- Oversee all after-sales service functions, including installation, repair, maintenance, and the specialized Calibration Business.
- Streamline and improve service operational processes (e.g., Lean, efficiency programs) to enhance customer response time and overall service quality.
- Lead a complex organization comprised of approximately 6-7 direct reporting and an indirect team of over 100 Service Engineers.
Candidate Profile & Requirements
- Minimum 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in Service Management.
- Must possess deep knowledge and experience in the Scientific Instruments/Equipment or Medical Devices industry.
- Strong experience in managing P&L for a service unit and a comprehensive understanding of Service Operations (end-to-end process) and Spare Parts Inventory Management/Planning.
- Highly Agile and open to change, with proven experience in leading or successfully navigating significant business change management or transformation projects.
