The role

We are seeking an experienced Storage Engineer with strong expertise in enterprise NAS and SAN technologies. The candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting storage infrastructure, ensuring availability, security, and performance of mission-critical systems. This is a 12-month contract role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage, configure, and maintain NAS and SAN storage platforms across enterprise environments.
  • Administer and support NetApp and EMC storage systems, including provisioning, replication, snapshots, and performance tuning.
  • Provide operational support for IBM EVS, Dell Private Safe, and ECS storage platforms.
  • Perform storage capacity planning, data migration, backup, and recovery operations.
  • Support code upgrades, patching, and system hardening for storage platforms.
  • Work with infrastructure, application, and project teams to deliver storage services across business units.
  • Monitor system health and produce reports on availability, performance, and compliance.
  • Troubleshoot complex storage-related issues and provide Level 2/3 support as required.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5–6 years of hands-on experience in enterprise storage administration and engineering.
  • Strong experience with:
    • NAS: NetApp, IBM EVS, Dell Private Safe, ECS
    • SAN: EMC (PowerMax/VMAX), NetApp
  • Solid understanding of block-level and file-level storage concepts, replication, and snapshot technologies.
  • Familiarity with storage networking protocols(Fibre Channel, iSCSI, NFS, SMB/CIFS).
  • Experience with storage migration, upgrades, and performance tuning.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in enterprise storage environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to object storage solutions(e.g., ECS, CleverSafe).
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes for incident, change, and problem management.
  • Experience in banking/financial services IT environment is a plus.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work in global teams.
