Windows Engineer – Global Bank | Hong Kong / $60-90k P/M
Our client, a top-tier global investment bank, is looking for an experienced Windows Engineer
to join their APAC Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) team in Hong Kong. This is a key role focused on delivering technical support and driving infrastructure projects across the region. You'll be instrumental in ensuring that services are delivered on time, align with internal SLAs, and meet strict IT security and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily support activities for IaaS environments across APAC regions including Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, and Japan.
- Work in close collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders reliant on infrastructure services.
- Foster productive partnerships with customers and internal departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Promote transparency and collaboration across functions, avoiding siloed working environments.
- Maintain compliance with corporate IT security standards and policies.
- Assist in generating performance metrics and regular management dashboards.
- Escalate and report deviations from standard procedures or system norms.
- Ensure all systems align with disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
- Approach incident resolution and change management with diligence and attention to operational risk.
What You Bring:
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in infrastructure or systems engineering roles.
- Deep expertise in Windows Server platforms (2012 R2 through 2022): installation, configuration, performance tuning.
- Strong knowledge of core services: Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, DFS, and Group Policy.
- Advanced PowerShell scripting skills for automation and administration.
- Experience with patching and update frameworks such as WSUS.
Bonus Skills:
- Hands-on experience with tools like Ansible Tower, Ivanti, Centrify, or BMC solutions.
- Exposure to enterprise storage technologies including SAN, NAS, iSCSI, DAS, and VSAN.
- Scripting abilities in Python or similar languages.
- Background in Agile delivery and DevOps environments.
- Prior experience managing infrastructure-related projects.
- ITIL v3/v4 Foundation certification.
