Our client, a global FMCG company with significant regional manufacturing footprint in Southeast Asia, is seeking a seasoned Accounting and Reporting Lead. This pivotal role is responsible for overseeing all finance, accounting, tax, and regulatory compliance for their operations in Thailand. The ideal candidate should be capable of driving robust accounting controls and strategic relations.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee comprehensive financial accounting and reporting for local entities, ensuring adherence to local GAAP, timely month-end closures, accurate balance sheet reconciliations, and precise IFRS group reporting in coordination with global finance functions.

Lead all Board of Investment (BOI) related matters, acting as the primary liaison, developing strong relationships with key governmental officials to secure privileges, and ensuring full compliance and timely reporting for promotional certificates and strategic industrial initiatives.

Manage all tax affairs and compliance within the region, ensuring timely and accurate preparation and submission of all VAT, withholding tax, and corporate income tax filings, engaging effectively with local tax authorities, and advising on tax implications for new projects.

Drive robust treasury, cash flow management, and internal controls, including the development of monthly cash flow forecasts, coordinating treasury activities with global headquarters, and implementing effective control measures across all areas of responsibility.

Ensure corporate legal compliance and meticulous contract management by maintaining up-to-date company legal documentation, facilitating timely execution of annual board and shareholder meetings, and upholding established contract registration protocols.

Requirements

Proven experience in a senior finance and accounting leadership role within a multinational environment in Thailand.

Deep expertise in Thai GAAP, IFRS, local tax regulations

Strong track record in managing statutory audits, group reporting, and financial controls for complex organizations

Exceptional analytical acumen, communication skills, and stakeholder management capabilities.

Fluency in English is essential; Thai language proficiency is a significant advantage.
