AI Data Enablement & Strategy Lead – Insurance / $1.4-1.6M
Location: Hong Kong
We are supporting a leading insurer with the appointment of an AI Data Enablement & Strategy Lead
to shape the roadmap, technical direction and enterprise enablement approach for artificial intelligence and data-driven innovation.
The organisation already has established strategy and enablement functions. This position will specifically focus on the intersection of AI, generative AI and data, ensuring the right technical capabilities, platforms and roadmaps are in place to support scalable adoption.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the organisation’s AI and data enablement roadmap.
- Define the technical strategy for generative AI, including platform capabilities, data readiness, integration and adoption priorities.
- Assess current AI and data capabilities, identify gaps and recommend future-state solutions.
- Partner with architecture, engineering, data, cloud, cybersecurity and governance teams to shape scalable enterprise capabilities.
- Translate business priorities into a structured portfolio of AI and data initiatives.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, platforms and vendors and provide clear recommendations to leadership.
- Develop strategic materials, investment cases and executive-level presentations.
- Support markets and business functions in understanding how enterprise AI and data capabilities can be applied effectively.
Requirements
- Strong experience across AI strategy, data strategy, enterprise architecture, technology strategy or AI platform enablement.
- Good technical understanding of generative AI, large language models, data platforms, cloud services and modern AI architecture.
- Proven ability to develop roadmaps and translate emerging technology into practical enterprise plans.
- Strong commercial judgement and the ability to balance innovation, cost, risk and delivery feasibility.
- Experience within insurance or financial services is preferred.
- Consulting, technology strategy or regional transformation experience would be advantageous.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence senior business and technology stakeholders.
- Strong English communication skills; Cantonese or Mandarin would be beneficial.
