Assistant Material Planning Manager (FMCG)
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Material Planning Manager to support material planning operations and ensure a reliable supply of raw and packaging materials to the factory.
This role is ideal for someone with early-career experience in MRP who is ready to step up and take on more ownership in planning, coordination, and inventory control within a fast-paced FMCG environment.
Key Responsibilities
Material Planning & MRP Execution
- Plan and manage material requirements (RM/PM) based on production plans and demand forecasts
- Execute MRP runs and ensure timely ordering of materials to support manufacturing schedules
- Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure purchase orders are placed and delivered on time
Inventory Control & Availability
- Monitor stock levels to ensure sufficient material availability while minimizing excess inventory
- Track slow-moving and obsolete materials, and recommend actions to optimize inventory
- Ensure accurate material planning parameters (lead time, safety stock, MOQ)
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with production planning, procurement, and warehouse teams to align supply with demand
- Follow up on material shortages, delays, and supplier issues to minimize production impact
- Support smooth execution of production plans through effective material readiness
System & Data Management
- Maintain and update material master data in SAP or similar
- Ensure accuracy of MRP-related data and planning inputs
- Prepare regular reports on material status, shortages, and inventory performance
Continuous Improvement
- Support initiatives to improve planning accuracy, inventory turnover, and process efficiency
- Identify opportunities to enhance MRP processes and reduce supply risks
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field
- 2–3 years of experience in material planning / MRP within FMCG manufacturing environment
- Experience handling raw materials (RM) and packaging materials (PM)
- Familiar with SAP, OPM
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Good command both Thai and English
