Commercial Analyst / Business Analytics (12-M Contract)

My client is a large F&B corporation currently looking for a data-driven, commercial savvy young professional to join their expanding team. This will begin as a 12-month engagement - extendable contract or conversion to permanent is possible.

Responsibilities

• Analysing sales & margin performance to support commercial decision making
• Provide scenario / what-if modelling for fast decisions with quantified trade-offs and decision options
• Own weekly decision-support cadence that enable teams to act within days
• Design and evaluate promotion strategy end-to-end, including pre/post analysis and ROI measurement
• Conduct market research & competitive benchmarking
• Work closely with Finance, Operations and Commercial Leads on cross functional initiatives

Requirements

• 3–7 years experience in analytics/strategy/consulting or commercial finance in retail/QSR/multi-site environments (consulting is a strong plus)
• Strong in open-ended modelling, driver decomposition, and scenario/sensitivity analysis; comfortable working without “perfect” predefined templates
• Skilled in Advanced Excel; nice to have SQL / Power BI / Python
• Hands-on ability to build models from messy/incomplete data, including making assumptions and refining quickly
• Commercial acumen: able to understand revenue vs margin trade-offs and operational constraints (labour, throughput, channel mix)
• Cantonese preferred, and ability to clearly explain conclusions
