Data Analyst (FSI)

We are seeking a highly skilled Auditor, Data Analytics to support our Assurance and Compliance functions within the financial services sector. This role requires a strong mix of audit domain knowledge and technical hands‑on expertise in Python, SQL, data visualization, and cloud technologies. The ideal candidate is passionate about leveraging advanced analytics and AI to improve assurance quality, strengthen compliance monitoring, and enhance business insights.

Key Responsibilities

Audit & Assurance Analytics

• Develop and execute data‑driven audit tests to support financial, operational, regulatory, and IT audits.
• Perform risk assessments using analytics to identify anomalies, trends, and potential control gaps.
• Build automated continuous monitoring dashboards to enhance ongoing assurance activities.
• Partner with audit teams to translate audit objectives into effective data analytics solutions.

Compliance & Regulatory Analytics

• Support compliance reviews through data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
• Apply analytics to monitor adherence to financial services regulations and internal policies.
• Develop early-warning indicators leveraging structured and unstructured data.

Technical Analytics & Automation

• Build and maintain Python scripts and SQL queries to process, analyze, and validate large datasets.
• Design interactive data visualizations and self-service dashboards using Power BI.
• Automate recurring analytics processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Implement analytics models or AI techniques (e.g., anomaly detection, NLP) to enhance audit insights.

Cloud & Data Platform Integration

• Work with cloud environments (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) to access, transform, and analyze data.
• Collaborate with data engineering teams to improve data quality, pipelines, and governance.
• Participate in the implementation of AI tools across audit and compliance use cases.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or related field.
• 7-10 years of experience in audit, data analytics, or risk/compliance roles, preferably in financial services.

Technical Skills

• Python for data wrangling, automation, statistical analysis, and ML/NLP techniques.
• SQL proficiency across relational databases (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc.).
• Strong data visualization skills using Power BI(DAX, data modeling, report design).
• Experience working with cloud platforms and big data tools (Azure Data Lake, AWS S3, Databricks, etc.).
• Understanding of AI concepts and hands-on experience implementing analytical models or machine learning is a plus.

Domain Skills

• Knowledge of Internal Audit methodology, compliance frameworks, and controls assessment.
• Understanding of financial products, operations, and regulatory requirements in financial services.

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities.
• Excellent communication skills to present findings to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and data integrity.
