Frontend Engineer - Contract- 12 months- Insurance- 2k5$

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain modern web applications using React, JavaScript/TypeScript and Next.js.
• Build reusable and scalable UI components using React Hooks and state management.
• Develop responsive, accessible and user-friendly interfaces across different devices and screen sizes.
• Integrate frontend applications with GraphQL and REST APIs.
• Implement OAuth authentication and web security best practices.
• Optimise web performance, page load times and overall frontend application efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve frontend issues across development and production environments.
• Implement frontend monitoring and observability to ensure application reliability.
• Collaborate with backend engineers, product teams and other stakeholders to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Contribute to technical discussions, code reviews and frontend engineering best practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing across the team.

Requirements

• Strong commercial experience with React, JavaScript/TypeScript and Next.js.
• Strong understanding of React Hooks and state management.
• Solid HTML/CSS and responsive UI development skills.
• Experience integrating with GraphQL and REST APIs.
• Good understanding of web performance optimisation and frontend best practices.
• Experience implementing OAuth and web security.
• Experience with micro-frontend architecture.
• Hands-on experience with frontend observability/monitoring tools such as Sentry or Datadog.
• Strong understanding of modern frontend architecture and development practices.
• Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across engineering and product teams.
• Experience mentoring or supporting junior engineers is a plus.
• Insurance industry experience is preferred.
