Our client, a fast-growing international B2B manufacturing business, is looking for an experienced Head of Finance to lead its finance function across multiple international entities.
This is a senior, hands-on finance leadership position with group-wide responsibility, reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with the Board and external financial advisers.
About the Role
You will oversee finance operations across Thailand, China, New Zealand, Hong Kong, the US and Europe, while leading a distributed finance team across multiple locations.
The role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance leader who enjoys working in an entrepreneurial, fast-moving environment and wants to have genuine ownership of the finance function.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Group Finance function across Thailand, China, New Zealand and Czechia, managing a distributed finance team and external accounting/advisory partners.
- Own group financial reporting and consolidation, including month-end/year-end closing, statutory accounts, management accounts, KPI reporting and maintaining a single source of truth for group financial data.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and business planning, including annual budgets, quarterly reforecasts, sales/revenue forecasting, variance analysis and Board-level financial reporting.
- Own Group cash flow, liquidity and working capital management, including rolling 12-month cash flow forecasting, collections, inventory, payables and intercompany funding flows.
- Manage banking and trade finance operations, including relationships with banks and financial institutions, trade-finance drawdowns and repayments, covenant testing, lender reporting and banking administration.
- Oversee foreign exchange and treasury activities, monitoring multi-currency exposure across RMB, EUR, THB, HKD, USD, CZK and NZD, and executing approved FX transactions and hedging activities.
- Oversee AP, AR, credit control and collections, including customer credit checks, payment terms, aged debtors and collection activities across the Group.
- Partner with the commercial and operational teams on pricing, costing and margin management, including new product development, private-label client pricing, COGS, freight, customs, duties and logistics costs.
- Own payroll, tax, statutory compliance and intercompany accounting across multiple jurisdictions, including tax calendars, withholding tax, transfer pricing documentation, intercompany charges and reconciliations.
- Strengthen internal controls, audit and financial governance, including internal audit programmes, external audit coordination, financial policies, segregation of duties and risk management.
- Drive finance systems, automation and process improvement, including accounting/ERP systems, budgeting and cash flow models, forecasting, pricing tools, data integration and reducing manual processes.
- Support strategic finance initiatives, including business cases, NPV/DCF/payback analysis, capital-raising support, investor reporting and preparation of financial information for the CEO and Board.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
- CA / CPA / CMA or equivalent qualification.
- At least 8+ years' experience in financial control or finance management.
- Strong experience in multi-entity, multi-country and multi-currency environments.
- Solid knowledge of IFRS, consolidation, internal controls and cross-border tax/compliance.
- Strong exposure to cash flow, working capital, banking and treasury.
- Proven experience managing and developing multi-country/distributed finance teams.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work confidently with CEO, Board, banks, auditors and external advisers.
- Experience with Xero, Odoo or similar accounting/ERP systems would be advantageous.
- Fluent English is essential.
