Principal Android Engineer - 75mil- Fintech

About the Role

We are looking for a Principal Android Engineer to lead the design and development of next-generation Android applications. In this role, you will drive the technical direction of Android engineering, architect scalable and secure mobile solutions, and establish engineering best practices. You will work closely with Product, Design, Backend, QA, and Security teams to deliver high-quality mobile experiences while mentoring engineers and influencing the long-term mobile technology strategy.

What You Will Do

• Lead the design, architecture, and development of large-scale Android applications.
• Design and deliver reliable, secure, and high-performing mobile features.
• Drive engineering excellence through clean architecture, code quality, testing, and operational best practices.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, Backend, QA, and Security teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
• Mentor and coach engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, and knowledge sharing.
• Define and influence technical direction, architecture decisions, engineering standards, and Android development best practices.
• Champion modern Android technologies and continuously improve development processes, tooling, and release quality.
• Identify technical risks, drive architectural improvements, and ensure long-term scalability and maintainability of the mobile platform.

Experience

• 8+ years of Android application development experience.
• Proven experience designing, building, and maintaining production-grade Android applications at scale.
• Experience leading technical initiatives and influencing engineering direction across teams.
• Comfortable working in agile, cross-functional product environments.
• Expert proficiency in Kotlin and modern Android development.
• Strong understanding of Android architecture patterns (MVVM/MVI, Clean Architecture).
• Extensive experience with Coroutines, Flow, and asynchronous programming.
• Strong experience with Jetpack Compose.
• Experience with dependency injection and modular application architecture.
• Strong knowledge of testing strategies, debugging, performance optimization, and application stability.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, mobile release processes, and mobile security best practices.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder management skills.
• Professional working proficiency in English for collaboration with global teams.
