This role sits within a large-scale transformation initiative in the capital markets domain, focused on modernising securities-related processes and systems. The successful candidate will lead end-to-end delivery of a complex programme, covering study, design, migration, and implementation phases. Operating in a highly regulated financial services environment, the role requires close collaboration with business, technology, and governance stakeholders, while ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, compliance, and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead full project lifecycle delivery, including initial study, planning, governance, budgeting, and execution across multiple workstreams
- Drive front-to-back analysis of the trade lifecycle, ensuring alignment across business operations, finance, and technology functions
- Act as Study Lead to define target operating models and architecture, conduct gap analysis, and produce detailed business requirement documentation
- Establish and manage programme governance structures, including operational forums and senior stakeholder committees
- Define and oversee migration and testing strategies, including planning, execution oversight, and validation of outcomes
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across business, technology, and control functions to ensure seamless delivery
- Manage approval processes across internal governance, compliance, legal, and outsourcing requirements
- Ensure adherence to internal delivery frameworks, validation checkpoints, and regulatory expectations throughout the programme
Job Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in project or programme management within financial services, with a strong focus on capital markets
- Must-have: Deep functional expertise in securities, including cash equities and listed derivatives, with strong understanding of trade lifecycle processes (front-to-back)
- Must-have: Hands-on experience across areas such as trade processing, settlement, accounting, risk & PnL, reconciliation, regulatory reporting, and corporate actions
- Must-have: Proven experience working with trading and post-trade systems, including order execution, clearing, custody, and pre-trade environments
- Must-have: Strong experience leading large-scale transformation programmes, including study phases, architecture definition, and business analysis
- Must-have: Demonstrated experience in migration and testing leadership, including defining strategies and execution plans
- Strong stakeholder management experience, including engagement with senior leadership, governance committees, and control functions
- Nice-to-have: Familiarity with capital markets platforms and tools commonly used in securities environments
