QA Test Engineer / FS / Permanent / $40-60k P/M

We are hiring a Test Engineer to join a leading financial services environment in Hong Kong. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong manual testing background who is looking to work on business-critical systems in a fast-paced and regulated setting. Exposure to test automation would be a strong advantage, but this is not essential.

You will work closely with business users, developers, and project teams to ensure high-quality delivery across system enhancements, change initiatives, and platform improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end manual testing across business and technology change initiatives
• Create and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts
• Support SIT, UAT, regression, and functional testing
• Identify, log, track, and help resolve defects with development teams
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure full test coverage
• Contribute to process improvement and support automation testing initiatives where applicable

Requirements

• Solid experience as a Test Engineer / QA Engineer / Software Tester within financial services
• Strong hands-on experience in manual testing is essential
• Exposure to automation testing tools would be a plus
• Good understanding of the SDLC / STLC and defect management processes
• Experience testing across applications, system changes, or digital platforms
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with both technical and business stakeholders
• Must be fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin

Preferred

• Experience in banking, insurance, or other regulated financial services environments
• Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools
• Any automation exposure in tools such as Selenium, UFT, or similar would be beneficial
