Role Overview

Our client is looking for a highly analytical and impact-driven Senior Data Scientist to join our AI Lab. This is a critical role for a practitioner who excels at solving complex, real-world retail challenges through a combination of rigorous statistical modeling and modern AI innovation.

A Typical Day in This Role

• Design and refine machine learning and statistical models using a scientific, evidence-based approach to solve complex problems using both structured and unstructured data.
• Use advanced analytics to identify and prioritize use cases related to categorization and optimization
• Implement Large Language Models (LLMs) and NLP techniques to automate and improve product categorization and data-driven retail logic.
• Translate complex outputs into clear, actionable business insights, communicating results effectively across our Offline + Online (O+O) business model.

Success Will Depend On:

• 3 to 5 years of professional experience in Data Science or a related quantitative field.
• Solid knowledge and hands-on experience in various statistical techniques, machine learning, and data manipulation.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience using cloud platforms such as Databricks, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience building and deploying models using NLP and LLMs is essential for this role.
• The ability to translate high-level technical concepts into clear strategies for business stakeholders.
