UIUX Manager (Canto)- 12 months contract- 55k- Banking

Responsibilities

• Applying strategic thinking to deliver end-to-end user experience solutions with a focus on user needs and business goals, and being directly responsible for delivering all aspects of design from defining customer needs through development.
• Turning visions into concepts and translating those concepts into designs that illustrate simplicity despite system complexity.
• Utilizing industry design standards and best practices to define screen designs, design guidelines, and design specifications.
• Ensuring UI/UX and visual design communicates clearly, is on-brand, and delights users.
• Partnering with Product Owners, Business, and IT teams to ensure projects meet their intended purposes and strategic objectives.
• Managing the design process, driving decisions, tracking design issues, and ensuring design specifications are implemented.
• Presenting ideas clearly and compellingly to team members and stakeholders.
• Supporting Design Researchers in carrying out participatory and iterative design techniques, including observational studies, customer interviews, usability testing, and other forms of qualitative and quantitative research.
• Maintaining awareness of emerging industry developments and digital service trends to ensure future product strategies remain aligned with market developments.
• Collaborating and sharing knowledge with team members and stakeholders, while mentoring designers within the team.
• Managing interactions with digital agencies and design resources assigned to projects.
• Contributing to the definition and creation of flexible, coherent design systems and component libraries.
• Improving user interaction and interfaces within an accessibility framework.
• Promoting User-Centered Design principles and best practices within banking.

Certifications, Qualifications & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in UI/UX Design leading projects.
• Ability to understand detailed and complex requirements and design elegant solutions for complicated processes.
• Ability to clearly and effectively communicate ideas and solutions to stakeholders.
• Open to receiving feedback and constructive criticism.
• Passionate about UI/UX, design, and innovation.
• Proficient in UI/UX and interaction design, with a keen eye for branding, visual design, typography, and user interface design, alongside a strong understanding of user-centered design processes.
• Strong experience across desktop and native mobile app design.
• Proficiency in UI/UX software including Sketch, Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, InVision, Flinto, and Zeplin.
• Experience in user research techniques and usability testing is a strong advantage.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments.
• Ability to work within a Design System and propose concepts within defined constraints.
• Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to manage internal and external stakeholders with conflicting priorities.
• Strong online portfolio available for review.
• Previous experience in the financial sector is preferred but not mandatory.
